 With 20 years of experience in customer relationship management and community engagement, Tonyita is all about building connections that lift up individuals and organizations. Her passion lies in empowering marginalized communities, including but not limited to those affected by incarceration, disabilities, and substance misuse. Over the past decade, she has worked alongside impactful nonprofits and created partnerships that make a difference.

In 2021, Tonyita embraced a new chapter as an independent consultant, which led her to establish Out The Box Connections, LLC, in February 2025. As an inspiring speaker, and emcee, she’s devoted to spreading joy, positivity and empowerment throughout her community. Her creative movement merchandise embodies the spirit of transformation and supports true community reform - starting with the individual, then the family, and ultimately the community at large. Beyond her professional endeavors, Tonyita is a passionate believer, loving spouse, proud mom and a blessed Honey G. She also host a YouTube program called "There Are Many Chapters To This Best Seller" on her channel, Out The Box with Tonyita Shawnee'.
